Accessibility Statement
Varia strives to make the website varia-concept.com accessible to as many people as possible. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, conformance level AA.
Compliance status
Based on our own assessment, this website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 (level AA). The essential content and functions — navigation, country pages, FAQ, glossary, the AI location radar and the contact forms — can be used without a mouse, with screen readers and with reduced motion.
Measures taken
- Skip link (“Skip to content”) and consistent keyboard operability of all interactive elements
- Visible focus indicators and focus management in the mobile menu (including close with Escape)
- Sufficient colour contrast; text on coloured surfaces with checked contrast values
- Forms with labels, error messages (announced by screen readers) and focus on the first invalid field
- Alternative texts for meaningful images and a semantic heading structure
- Animations and motion effects respect the “reduce motion” system setting (prefers-reduced-motion)
- Content remains usable at up to 200% text zoom and on small screens
Known limitations
Individual photo galleries and decorative graphics deliberately carry concise alternative texts. The Slovenian and Croatian language versions are a first pass and are currently being reviewed by native speakers. On request, we are happy to provide content in a form that suits you.
Reporting barriers — feedback procedure
Have you noticed a barrier, or do you need content in a different form? Write to us at info@varia.de or call Primož Pratnekar on +49 7152 6097-02. We usually respond within a few working days and remove reported barriers as quickly as possible.
